Melanie B., husband Stephen Belafonte, and fellow "X-Factor" personality Natalie Bassingthwaighte took almost-divorced Kim Kardashian and sister Khloe out for some VIP treatment last night in Australia.

While Kim & Khloe (who brought hubby Lamar along) are in Sydney launching their Kardashian Collection at a Sears there, Mel B. (who is there for "X-Factor Australia") thought it would be a fine time to offer her good friend Kim some cheering up. They hit up Lounge nightclub and Kim looked like she didn't want to be there. Why she still felt the need to go out and purposely be in the throngs of people and flashing lights while "sad" is a good question though.
Kim took to her personal blog yesterday to speak out about her short-lived marriage and all the rumors that she did it for fame and fortune.
She said:
"I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show!
Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon.
I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have.
I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people.'
There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this.
I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation."
Kim is thought to be donating $200,000 to the charity. Meanwhile, her momager Kris Jenner is begging for people to stop being mean to her baby and to give her privacy to deal with this, all while Kris J. makes the talk show rounds all week talking not about her new book, but about the divorce. Makes sense right? She even put her best skills to the test and cried on "The View" this morning.
Next stop on the please-leave-me-alone-while-I-continue-making-money-off-stunts train is more events throughout Australia this week, the Kardashian Khaos store opening in Vegas this week, and upon returning to the US, Kim will kick off "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" promo rounds. Some folks say she's already started that by alluding to there being dark secrets about her marriage she's not ready to discuss, but will be of course ready when promo time comes around.
What's Kris Humphries doing amidst all this? Who knows...
