Rihanna Hits Up Diddy's NYE Bash...With Ex Matt Kemp?!

Rihanna left the sunny warmth of Barbados for more sunny warmth in Miami yesterday.  She hit up Diddy's NYE bash at his estate last night.  And it doesn't look like she rang in the new year alone.  Matt Kemp anyone?

Check it inside...

Rihanna's ex Matt Kemp was spotted at Diddy's party as well last night (you can see him in the background of Rih's pic from the party above).  So it looks like the two exes reunited again (remember when they were spotted clubbing out in London a couple months ago?) for a memorable night.  Despite rumors that Rihanna and her other ex Chris Brown were sub-tweeting "I Love You" messages last week to each other--which people assumed were to each other and not just to their fans like they sometimes do.

Rekindling an old flame for the new year?  Could be.  But she tweeted one of her New Year's resolutions is to get a man, once one of her fans asked her what she wanted to do in 2012:

Same as the last 5yrs, lose weight, get a man, make mo $$! My resolution should be to find a new one tbh!

Rih tweeted a New Year's message to her fans saying:

Thank you 4 makin 2011 an incredible year, filled with lots of laughs and tears...Memories made either way, that I'll always cherish #1LOVE

HAPPY NEW YEAR LOVERS!!!!!!!!!!!! #FIREWORKS

And earlier yesterday, the "Cheers" singer was spotted leaving the Soirage Hotel (with who looks like The Dream but we haven't confirmed) before she got to partying:

She stopped to say hi to some fans as well.

And had her bestie Melissa with her.

And rocked her black, grey and red Alexander Wang heels.

Bikini-Clad Kyra Sedgwick's Hawaiian Holiday with Kevin Bacon

Some things seem to get better with age, and that certainly appears to be the case when it comes to lovely actress Kyra Sedgwick!

The 46-year-old showed off her toned figure while clad in a skimpy purple and black bikini as she enjoyed the sand and surf during a holiday Hawaiian getaway with actor husband Kevin Bacon and their 17-year-old daughter Sosi on Saturday (December 31).

Aside from ringing in 2012 in the Aloha State, Miss Sedgwick is easing into the spotlight as she readies for this month's release of her new movie "Man On a Ledge".

Due in theaters on January 27th, the Asger Leth directed crime/thriller film finds "a police psychologist working to talk down an ex-con who is threatening to jump from a Manhattan hotel rooftop at the same time that the biggest diamond heist ever committed is in motion... "

Best Movie Deaths Of 2011

From 'Harry Potter' to 'Drive,' MTV News mourns — and praises — the year's best fictional deaths.
By Kevin P. Sullivan

It is traditional at the end of the year to look back on those we have lost in Hollywood. Usually this means a poignant montage of actors, actresses and crew members during the Academy Awards, but it should also be noted that plenty of fictional passings occurred in 2011 as well.

They may have been memorable, sad, thrilling or even funny, but each movie death meant something, and if we were to look back on the characters that passed away this year, these are the five that would get the biggest applause.

It should noted that this article contains nothing but spoilers.

Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon in "X-Men: First Class")
All it took was a coin through the skull to remind us why Kevin Bacon should be in more movies. His character, Sebastian Shaw, lived large and in style, choosing a submarine as his method of world travel and double-breasted suits as his villainous costume. When Magneto finally met up with him to serve up some revenge extra cold, Shaw ate it in one of the most memorable scenes of 2011.

Fred Weasley (James Phelps in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2")
Many characters didn't live to see the end of the Battle of Hogwarts, but none hurt as much as the demise of one-half of the ginger-haired duo. George may have lost an ear in Part 1, but he lost a twin brother during the series finale, and we were there with him. At the very least, we can all remember the fun times we had together and rest assured that there is still one genetically identical person walking Diagon Alley.

Beth Emhoff (Gwyneth Paltrow in "Contagion")
The look of terror on Paltrow's face from the trailer may rank among some of the year's most horrifying movie images. Beth Emhoff's death early in the film starts the chain reaction that sets the film's wheels in motion, but none of the millions of deaths caused by the virus are shown with as much intimacy. She may have been patient zero, but she'll always be #1 in our hearts.

Shannon (Bryan Cranston in "Drive")
Bryan Cranston's Shannon didn't have much time to accept his fate, and neither did we. Before we knew it, Bernie Rose (played by Albert Brooks) had declared it "over." Even the toughest of moviegoers had to flinch at the sight of the razor blade cutting through the neighborly mechanic's arm. Shannon added both comic relief and charm to a movie that benefitted so greatly because of it.

Planet Earth in "The Tree of Life" and "Melancholia"
The character we're all closest with bit the dust not once but twice this year at the movies. It's never an easy thing, watching the planet you've grown up on destroyed — just ask Princess Leia. But never has the destruction of our home world been shown with as much stunning cinematography as it was in mouth of these art house hits.

Goodbye, 2011

And … that’s pretty much all, folks. We here on the West Coast are currently counting down the hours left of 2011 while folks on the other side of the planet are already well into 2012. Altho 2011 wasn’t a great year for many folks, it was a pretty good year for me. David and [...]

Lady Gaga Throws NYE Afterparty at Dad's Restaurant

After wrapping up her honorable role of helping NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg drop the ball in Times Square, Lady Gaga continued forth with her New Year's Eve celebratory festivities by making her way over to her father's restaurant Joanne on West 68th Street.

Named in honor of the "You and I" singer's dad's late sister, who died at age 19 from lupus, the Italian-American eatery drew out plenty of star power including Ryan Seacrest and girlfriend Julianne Hough, as well as Ashley Tisdale, Derek Hough and Jenny McCarthy.

As for her experience dropping the ball to ring in 2012, Gaga was overwhelmed by the happenings, as she tweeted, "I cant even quite describe what tonight felt like. Sort of poetic madness. A dream come true. Moments recalling a leather taking the subway."

The 25-year-old superstar also offered up her resolution for the next twelve months, as she posted another message reading, "My new years resolution: Never be afraid to be kicked in the teeth. Let the blood and the bruises define your legacy. - Lady Gaga 2012"
