The creator of the show, Seth MacFarlane says that it should have probably already ended. Even though with 10 seasons, high viewership, syndication revenue, and merch generating almost $200 million, Seth says:
"Part of me thinks that Family Guy should have already ended. I think seven seasons is about the right [...]
